Suleman’s administrative career and his main functions.
Mohammad Suleman started his career as an Assistant Collector in Gwalior. Later he worked as a Collector in Seoni, Balaghat and Indore. Due to his experience and prompt work, he was posted in the capital Bhopal. During the Corona pandemic, when the then Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and his other IAS officers did not have any concrete solution, Mohammad Suleman took charge of ACS Health. Madhya Pradesh was praised across the country for its effective solution during the crisis. Due to his working system, he remained in the good books of Shivraj Singh Chauhan.
Suleman’s role during Kamalnath’s rule
When Kamal Nath became Chief Minister in 2018, Suleiman focused on industrial investments and visited Switzerland with Kamal Nath in January 2019. During this time he also organised an investors conference. However, Suleiman’s position remained strong even after the change of government. Suleman’s influential position remained intact when Shivraj Singh Chouhan again became Chief Minister.
Dr Mohan Yadav also levelled important charges.
In 2023, even as Dr Mohan Yadav made comprehensive changes in the administration, there was no significant change in Mohammad Suleman’s position. His impressive career is evident from the fact that despite the changing demands of the ministerial post in Madhya Pradesh, Suleman’s position remained unchanged. There were also discussions that he had asked Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to remove Yashodhara Raje Scindia from the post of the Industries Minister.
