Statue of Shivaji Maharaj: The issue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj statue collapse has become a serious crisis for the Maharashtra government. The opposition has a new problem due to the fall of Shivaji Maharaj statue before the election season. In view of this, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said that he is ready to apologise by touching the feet of Shivaji Maharaj statue 100 times. He also said that Maharashtra reveres Shivaji Maharaj and he should stay away from politics.

Ajit Pawar also expressed his grief over the fall of this statue in Sindhudurg. He apologised to the 13 crore people of Maharashtra and said that the fall of the statue is a big shock for us. Ajit Pawar promised that the contractors found guilty in this case will be blacklisted and steps will be taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde also said that Shivaji Maharaj is the patron deity of Maharashtra and he is ready to apologise by touching his feet 100 times. BJP leader and Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis also expressed regret over the incident but clarified that the construction of the statue was under the supervision of the Indian Navy and the state government had no direct involvement in it. Fadnavis also said that the state government will install another big statue of Shivaji Maharaj in future and will uphold his honour.
