They say that one should take time to get to know each other and then take the plunge and get married, however, I believe that it is all about your destiny. No amount of calibration or time spent together can help you determine if you will be able to live happily ever after with a person. Even after dating my wife all through college, I could not have imagined in my wildest dreams that she would turn her back on me one day for no good reason.
We both worked in Mumbai, but we realized that it would be better for me to join the family business and move to my hometown, Chandigarh. She was more than happy to quit her job and take on the role of a housewife. After we moved to Chandigarh and had our baby, my wife gradually started turning into a different person. It seemed to me that she was losing interest in our marriage and just wanted to maintain a facade that she was in a relationship with me. Believe me when I tell you that there were no fights or reasons for discord between us. I also took her to a psychologist to understand what was wrong with her and if we could work on something together, but to no avail. Life has been wonderful ever since. There are challenges and regrets in life, but I’ve found my silver lining in my secret girlfriend.
