Woman stranded at Bangalore and Varanasi airport carrying 6-day-old newborn

Varanasi Airport News: A case of horse trading with a newborn child has come to light at the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi. Here, a woman resident of Sujabad was flying a 6-day-old newborn baby to Bangalore. There was another man with this woman and both of them were pregnant with a child. These people had also taken the ticket for the child. Along with this, this woman was found bottle-feeding the 6-day-old newborn baby. Further, when the airport screening staff had doubts about the woman’s birth certificate, the investigators questioned the woman who was carrying the child with her. During questioning, the woman informed that she had purchased the child from a hospital and was taking it to her sister. This man and woman have been identified as Nidhi Singh and Ashok Kumar Patel of Sujabad-Padav. With differences in the names of the two and doubts about their activities, the age of the child recorded in the birth certificate was found to be six days.

Airline staff complained about suspicion

This woman was feeding the little boy with her through a bottle. There was another young man with this woman. Both of them were going to Bangalore on an Akasa Airlines flight. When both of them reached the checkpoint, the checking staff found different castes of men and women on their documents. Apart from this, the child that the woman had was not more than a week old. Also, the woman was trying to bottle-feed the child. On this, the airline staff became suspicious of the woman and informed the police.

The child was bought for 50 thousand rupees.

Giving information about this incident, the Phulpur police station in-charge said that this woman is a resident of Sujabad. She was supposed to board a flight from Varanasi to Bangalore at 7:45 am with the child. Seeing her strange behaviour, the airline staff became suspicious and informed us. He further said that when this woman was strictly questioned, she said that she was a resident of Sujabad and the child had been stolen. She purchased the newborn from a private hospital in Mughalsarai for Rs 50,000.
