The petition demands quashing of the FIR filed by Ravi Kishan’s wife Preeti Shukla against Soni and his family. The high court had responded in writing to Soni’s application and disposed of the petition on Friday. On April 16, 2024, Preeti Shukla had filed an FIR against six people including Aparna Soni, her husband Rajesh Soni and daughter Shinova Soni at Hazratganj police station in Lucknow. In the complaint, they were accused of blackmailing and threatening Ravi Kishan and his family members. family was accused of trying to extort Rs 20 crore. Soni had earlier claimed that she and the actor had been together for some time and claimed that he was the biological father of her daughter. Soni, her husband and daughter filed a petition in the Bombay High Court to quash the FIR. However, the FIR was filed in Lucknow, so it does not fall under the jurisdiction of the High Court.

After getting relief from the court on the basis of DNA test, Ravi Kishan said, those who tarnish the image by making false allegations will not be spared.

Verdict in Ravi Kishan case

On Friday, High Court judges Ajay Gadkari and Neela Gokhale admitted a letter from Aparna Soni into the court registry. In the letter, they stated their intention to withdraw the petition citing concerns that its continuance could affect their decision to seek legal recourse in Uttar Pradesh.

Aparna got permission

The names of two petitioners are also mentioned in Aparna Soni’s letter. Their lawyer said that the legal documents of all three had been returned and requested to withdraw the petition for lack of consistency. Based on these things, the court allowed Aparna Soni to withdraw the petition. Earlier, a High Court bench had granted Aparna Soni and her family two weeks’ anticipatory transit bail. They want to approach a Lucknow court seeking acquittal and protection from arrest in the case.
