Schools from New Delhi and Madhya Pradesh were among the finalists that won the battle with international educational institutions for the World’s Best School Awards.

The $50,000 prize money is being funded by London-based T4 Education in collaboration with Accenture, American Express and the Lemann Foundation, and two Indian schools, Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj, and CM RISE School Vinoba, Ratlam, are competing to win the prize money.

Jill Huntley, Managing Director, Global Corporate Citizenship, Accenture, congratulates Ryan International School in India for being shortlisted as one of the three finalists for the World’s Best School for the Environment award. “They give us hope for the future of our planet and their solutions will inspire others around the world through the World’s Best School Awards platform,” Huntley added.

Ryan International is recognised for incorporating comprehensive environmental education across all grades, combining the Indian curriculum with innovative environmental projects. The Ministry of Environment also recognises the school’s contributions towards environmental conservation and planting over 5,000 saplings in the national capital as part of the ‘Every One Plants One’ campaign.

On the other hand, CM RISE School Vinoba has also played a pivotal role in Madhya Pradesh’s implementation in partnership with Peepul. The school’s innovative practices such as integrating education with local festivals and organizing early morning sports sessions enrich the students’ experience and outcomes, enabling them to gain recognition from local authorities and validate the school’s impact.

The five World’s Best Schools Awards across categories such as Community Partnership, Environmental Action, Innovation, Overcoming Adversity and Supporting Healthy Lives celebrate schools around the world that play key roles in developing the next generation of students and their enormous contribution to the progress of society.

The award category will be announced next week and the distinguished leaders are comprised of members of the Academy of Judges from around the world. The $50,000 prize money will be shared equally among the five-time award winner, who will receive a $10,000 prize.

The winner and finalists of the World’s Best Schools Awards invite you to the World Schools Summit taking place in Dubai on 23-24 November, designed to bring together top leaders from the world’s best schools helping to transform education.
