Yamaha R15M and MT15 MotoGP Editions debut Monster Energy livery
Yamaha has expanded its range of motorcycles in the Indian market with the launch of the new MotoGP Edition of the R15M and the MT-15 in the Indian market. Both motorcycles in this special version receive aesthetic updates.
The new MotoGP edition of the R15M comes after the launch of the special version with carbon fibre paint and will be sold at Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Meanwhile, the MT-15 V2 in the special edition will be sold at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom). As per the manufacturer’s announcement, both models will be sold exclusively through the brand’s Blue Square showrooms across the country.
To differentiate them from the standard version, the brand has equipped the MotoGP Editions of the R15M and MT-15 V2.0 with special livery inspired by the Yamaha Monster Energy MotoGP. These graphics can be seen on the fuel tank, tank covers and side panels. According to the brand, this livery on the bike highlights its racing DNA and the legacy created on the tracks.
Apart from the looks, both the bikes are very similar to the standard version that is sold on the market. For instance, the bike’s feature list includes things like an assisted slipper clutch, traction control, variable valve actuation, inverted forks and Bluetooth connectivity that opens the doors to a host of connected features that can be accessed through an app. The bikes also feature a colour TFT instrument cluster to increase their appeal among consumers.
He Yamaha R15M The MotoGP editions of the MT-15 and MT-15R are equipped with a 155cc single-cylinder engine capable of producing 18.1 hp of power and 14.2 Nm of maximum torque. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox. For rider safety, the brand also offers dual-channel ABS on both machines.
