Zepto will now deliver Decathlon’s sports catalogue in 10 minutes

The Indian unit of French sports giant Decathlon, Decathlon India, has partnered with Zeptoa fast-commerce unicorn that promises to deliver grocery products in 10 minutes.

Decathlon’s latest partnership aims to leverage the Aadit Palicha-led startup’s existing market presence to make sporting goods more accessible across the country.

We deliver to 16 major cities

As part of the partnership, customers across 16 major cities including Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, Chennai and Hyderabad can now purchase a wide range of Decathlon sports equipment through Zepto’s online platform.

The partnership aims to meet the growing demand for sports and fitness products by offering faster delivery options for customers looking to enhance their active lifestyle.

“We are excited to collaborate with Zepto to provide greater access to a wide range of sports products for our fellow Indians. As the demand for an active lifestyle in the country continues to grow, we are committed to being a part of this journey,” Decathlon said. India CEO Sankar Chatterjee.

Offering a wide range of products

Decathlon will offer a variety of sporting goods at Zepto, covering categories such as fitness, outdoor activities, water sports, team sports and more.

“Whether it’s quality sports equipment, high-performance running shoes or versatile yoga mats, Decathlon’s range of sports products at Zepto ensures that customers have quick and easy access to the equipment they need to lead an active lifestyle,” the company said.

“We are delighted to have Decathlon as part of the Zepto family and I thank our retailers for making this possible. We believe in promoting an active lifestyle and are excited about the opportunity to work with our retailers to make fitness products more accessible to millions of Indians,” said CEO Palicha.

Plans to invest Rs 933 crore in India

In addition to its partnership with Zepto, Decathlon recently revealed plans to invest Rs 933 crore in India over the next five years. The French company plans to expand its store network from 127 to 190 locations and increase its focus on digital engagement.

Currently, 68% of Decathlon products sold in India are manufactured locally, with the aim of raising that figure to 85% by 2026.
