Food technology giant Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal is among an exclusive group of 23 people in Gurugram with a net worth of over Rs 1,000 crore.
However, despite his impressive fortune of Rs 9,300 crore, Goyal is not the richest resident of the city.
According to the Hurun India Rich List 2024, Nirmal Kumar Minda & family, chairman and managing director of UNO Minda, is the richest person in Gurugram, with a net worth of Rs 30,800 crore (approximately $3.6 billion).
This not only makes him the richest individual in Gurugram but also places him at number 91 on the list of India’s richest people.
Following Goyal in the ranks of Gurugram’s richest are Mamaearth co-founders Ghazal and Varun Alagh with a net worth of Rs 5,900 crore, IndiGo’s Jyoti Bhatia with Rs 4,500 crore and Gawar Construction’s Ravinder Kumar, who comes in fifth with Rs 4,300 crore.
Gaurav Bhatnagar of TBO TEK is at the sixth spot with a net worth of Rs 3,800 crore. He is closely followed by Lalit Agarwal and his family, associated with V-Mart Retail, and Iskander A Lalljee of Sud Chemie India, both with a wealth of Rs 3,300 crore.
Next in line is Daljit Singh of Amber Enterprises, who has Rs 2,900 crore, while Rakesh Malhotra and his family of Luminous Power Technologies own Rs 2,800 crore. Dharminder Nagar of Paras Healthcare and Mobikwik co-founders Bipin Preet Singh and Upasana Taku have a net worth of Rs 2,400 crore.
Urban Company co-founder Abhiraj Singh Bhal has a net worth of Rs 2,200 crore, while Naresh Kumar and family of NKC Projects follow with Rs 2,100 crore. Vijay Kumar Thadani and family of NIIT and Sumant Sinha of ReNew Power both have Rs 1,600 crore.
